HOW TO: Secure site pages

If you want eTrader to always serve certain pages on your site using an encrypted SSL channel, you need to do two things.

First install a digital certificate on your web site (you may need to ask your hosting provider to do this for you). The tell eTrader which pages to secure.

In the web.config file in the site root, add or enable the following entry in the <appSettings> section:

<add>

Specify the names of the pages you want secured in the value attribute, as a comma-delimited list. As well as specifying individual pages, you can specify directories. Both individual files and directories should be specified relative to the site root, as in the example above.
