We're just wanting to update the various email templates which are yoused by the licence module but they don't seem to be coming into effect. We've updated the template in the /Dotcom.LicenceMaster/templates/ directory - is this correct? We have tried restarting the host site and cleared cache but it's still using the old version. Is there something else we need to do?
The email templates that you changed are the source versions. I can see that they shouldn't really be distributed with the module as they can cause confusion.
In fact, the templates used by the module are stored in a resource file (SharedResources.resx). The reason for this is to be able to localize (ie. translate) the template text into different languages.
You can update the templates using the DNN language editor. You will find the template HTML in the DesktopModules/Dotcom.LicenceMaster/App_LocalResources resource folder. Edit your template somewhere more convenient (eg. Visual Studio HTML editor), then paste it into the appropriate entry in the resource file. Take care to leave all the field placeholders intact when editing!!
