Hi Paul,

We had a question about what LM allows for a valid URL when licensing a module. We are having problems with a client installation where they are trying to register the module but the module seems to reject the key. They are running on a local intranet so the URL of the site is something like http://intranet - does LM consider this valid? There are other factors which are probably causing the issue but i wanted to confirm this with you so we can exclude it as a possible cause.

Thanks
Dan

Hi Dan,

Yes, it will work fine with that host name. LM places no special restriction on this. When validating a licence for your application, LM compares the host name that the application is running on with the host name that the licence key is registered for (case-insensitive). If they match (and the licence has not expired), the licence will be considered valid.

Regards,
