Hi Paul,

We've just upgraded to DNN 6.0.2 PE and running:

Licence Master Snowcovered Adaptor v1.0.4
Licence Master v 1.0.12

and notice this error in the event log:

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Services.Mail.Mail.SendMail(String MailFrom, String MailTo, String Cc, String Bcc, MailPriority Priority, String Subject, MailFormat BodyFormat, Encoding BodyEncoding, String Body, String Attachment, String SMTPServer, String SMTPAuthentication, String SMTPUsername, String SMTPPassword) at Dotcom.Modules.LicenceMaster.Notification.a(String A_0, String A_1, String A_2, String A_3) at Dotcom.Modules.LicenceMaster.Business.Licence.Order(Int32 applicationId, Int32 quantity, DateTime dtValidFrom, Int16 domains, Nullable`1 duration, String email, String domain, Boolean attachLicenceFile) at Dotcom.Modules.SnowCoveredLicenceMasterAdaptor.SnowCoveredIONResponder.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

We did a test form submission and it works so far as it adds the licence to the system but fails to send out the email.

We also saw this error when the site loaded:

InnerException: Could not load type 'Dotcom.Modules.LicenceMasterSnowcoveredAdaptor.AdaptorController'.
FileName:
FileLineNumber: 0
FileColumnNumber: 0
Method: System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetType
StackTrace:
Message: System.Web.HttpException (0x80004005): Could not load type 'Dotcom.Modules.LicenceMasterSnowcoveredAdaptor.AdaptorController'. at System.Web.Compilation.BuildManager.GetType(String typeName, Boolean throwOnError, Boolean ignoreCase) at DotNetNuke.Framework.Reflection.CreateType(String TypeName, String CacheKey, Boolean UseCache, Boolean IgnoreErrors)
Source:

Can you let me know if there's an update for DNN 6 compatibility as this is obviously a critical problem for us.

Thanks
Dan

This error is due to a change in the DotNetNuke.Services.Mail.Mail.SendMail method in DNN6. I have changed the call in LicenceMaster v1.1.1 to work around it. You can download it here.

Hi Dan,

This looks like a packaging error. I will release a new package shortly. In the meantime, it shouldn't affect the working of the adaptor.

Regards,

 What's the ETA on a fix ?

It's really annoying to have tons of trash in event log.
